OBJECTIVE- The objective of this project is to learn to recognize the International Morse Code sounds for the alphabet, numbers and punctuation. |
PROJECT GUIDELINES
1. Read the INDEPENDENT PROJECT GENERAL GUIDELINES first. 2. Obtain a sound chart and training tape from your science teacher. NOTE: Computer programs that help you learn Morse code are available from your teacher. 3. Learn the sounds for the first 13 letters presented on the tape. (E,T,A,I,M,N,S,O,D,R,C,U and K) NOTE:Phase II covers the rest of the letters, Phase III covers numbers and punctuation. 4. Take a sound test over the 13 letters and score a minimum of 50%. NOTE: Each letter will be sent (sounded on the code oscillator or tape) three times. 5. Complete a project design form and get it signed by your science teacher. 6. You will not be allowed to use the sound chart or notes on the test. 7. See the Grading Criteria for ways you can earn an A+.* |
