Only DC electricity of less than 5 amperes & 15 volts is permitted. » - » You may not copy another student's design for your project (except for bridges & towers). PROJECT GUIDELINES
1.
Read the INDEPENDENT PROJECT GENERAL GUIDELINES first.
2.
Complete a project design
form and get it signed by your science teacher.
3.
Design your contraption and get the design approved by your science
teacher before you build it.
Note:
You MAY use commercially available machines as individual parts of your
contraption. Each such device will count as only ONE moving part.
Note: You
may not use any A.C. electrcity!! All electrical devices must be
battery powered.
4.
Your contraption may be no larger than 150 cm (5 ft) in any dimension.
5.
All ten moving parts must move simultaneously or in sequence without being
individually activated.
6.
Only one of the ten parts may be activated directly by human intervention.
7.
Build your contraption and test it at home.
8
You must successfully demonstrate the machine to your class to receive
full credit.
